WILLOW took part in the 23rd edition of the EERA DeepWind Conference, held in Trondheim from 14–16 January and organized by SINTEF, the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), and the EERA Joint Programme on Wind Energy.
DeepWind is a leading international forum presenting the latest research and innovation in deep-sea offshore wind, spanning both bottom-fixed and floating technologies.
On January 15, Louis Pauchet presented the poster “Long Turbulent Synthetic Wind Time Series for Offshore Wind Farms Simulation” during the poster session. This contribution forms part of the ongoing research led by SINTEF within the framework of the WILLOW Project. The work aims to enhance the estimation of wind farm power fluctuations by generating realistic long-term wind variations derived from weather model data.
The conference offered an excellent opportunity to exchange knowledge and contribute to the ongoing advancement of offshore wind research.
