Advisory Board Meeting Contributes to Key Insights for the Next Steps of the Project

On Friday, November 22, a productive meeting was held with the Advisory Board, gathering experts from across the offshore wind energy sector to review the project’s progress and discuss key technical aspects.

The meeting took place at the SIRRIS facilities in Belgium, with both in-person and virtual participation from leading companies and organisations in the industry, including AEROBLADE, DNV, ISATI ENGINEERING SOLUTIONS, NABLA WIND HUB, NAUTILUS FLOATING SOLUTIONS, OTARY, PARKWIND, SGS, SMULDERS, and WORLD FORUM OFFSHORE WIND (WFO).

The session began with an introduction to the project, highlighting the connections between various work packages and sub-groups. The discussions then proceeded with a focus on technical topics, where sub-groups presented and reviewed their work:

  • Track A: Focused on the continuous monitoring, prediction, and standardization of coating conditions and corrosion (both uniform and pitting) for Offshore Wind Farms (OWF).
  • Track B: Addressed cybersecurity strategy and its standardization for OWF.

Following a brief break, the second part of the meeting covered shared topics of interest, including fleet lifetime assessment and standardisation for OWF in curtailed conditions, as well as wind farm control in these conditions to ensure optimal performance.

The day concluded with a tour of SIRRIS facilities.

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to all Advisory Board members for their active involvement in the project and for their valuable contributions.
