On November 20th and 21st, the Willow Project consortium gathered at the facilities of SIRRIS in Belgium. This productive meeting allowed participants to review the progress of various work packages and exchange insights on several key topics.
- NORTHER shared updates on ongoing cybersecurity efforts. CEIT presented their work on environmental assessments, complemented by the contributions of TSI – Técnicas y Servicios de Ingeniería.
- WÖLFEL introduced advancements in virtual sensing. CEIT and C-CUBE International presented findings on coating degradation, while SIRRIS detailed research on pitting corrosion. ALERION demonstrated progress in automating damage classification.
- VEIJE UNIVERSITEIT BRUSSEL, 24SEA, and FLANDERS MAKE shared innovative approaches to using data for enhanced lifetime assessments and novelty detection within wind farm operations.
- SINTEF presented methodologies for fleet life assessment and discussed strategies for integrated wind farm control.
- The consortium reviewed project management and coordination progress. The BASQUE ENERGY CLUSTER highlighted strategies for dissemination and exploitation aimed at maximizing the project’s impact.
Finally, participants visited the SIRRIS laboratories.
