The project was presented at the Basque Energy Cluster stand surrounded by international sector professionals and pintxos.
From 20-22 March 2024, WindEurope’s annual onshore and offshore wind energy event headed to Bilbao for a three-day conference and exhibition. The more than 12,000 visitors who attended the event were able to visit the stands of the 45 companies that took part at the joint stand under the “Wind Energy Basque Country” brand, where international meetings, presentations on various R&D projects related to the wind energy sector and relaxed networking moments with local gastronomy took place.
Over the three days of the event, the Basque Energy Cluster (BEC) also organised various technical conferences and side events with the aim of showcasing the companies that are part of the wind energy value chain in the Basque Country, highlighting their technological capabilities, competitive positioning and broad presence in international markets.
The BEC’s own stand also hosted various activities that made it a meeting point for companies and organisations from the sector. On Thursday 21, Ainhoa Cortés from Ceit presented the WILLOW project, which focuses on holistic, integrated digital tools to extend the useful life and profitability of offshore wind farms. The presentation took place in a very relaxed atmosphere surrounded by sector professionals from all over the world, where a few glasses of cider and catering consisting of pintxos (Basque tapas) made for a pleasant networking session.
In addition, the project was presented in the stand of BEC by means of brochure, infographic in the stand wall and showing its video on a TV screen. Ceit and Alerion disseminated the project through brochures in their stands.
