WILLOW Project Research Presented at EVACES 2025

The 11th International Conference on Experimental Vibration Analysis of Civil Engineering Structures (EVACES 2025) took place in Porto, Portugal, from July 2 to 4, 2025. The event gathered experts to discuss advances in vibration analysis and structural monitoring.

On July 3, researchers from Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB) delivered a presentation under the theme “Harnessing the Wind: Testing and Monitoring Challenges in Wind Turbine Engineering.” The talk, titled “Estimating Fatigue through Latent Space Embedding of Acceleration in Offshore Wind Turbines,” showcased innovative methods for assessing fatigue in wind turbine structures.

This presentation was based on research conducted within the WILLOW Project, specifically Task 3.3, which focuses on developing advanced monitoring techniques for offshore wind energy systems.
