WILLOW Advances Its Exploitation Strategy with Horizon Results Booster Support

The WILLOW project is currently progressing in the development of its exploitation plan, a key component to ensure that the project’s results can generate tangible value beyond its lifetime. Over recent months, the consortium has held several dedicated sessions with Horizon Results Booster expert Gustavo Marcos to strengthen its strategy and define clear pathways for the uptake of WILLOW’s innovations.

The work focuses on three Key Exploitable Results (KERs):

  1. Innovative monitoring solutions — targeting pit initiation and growth through electrochemical techniques and ultrasound systems.
  2. Consumed Life (CL) and Remaining Useful Life (RUL) monitoring framework — including algorithms for continuous structural assessment.
  3. Methodology for identifying interface loads across the wind farm — enabling improved understanding of load distribution and structural behaviour.

Significant progress has already been achieved, with the completion of the following Horizon Results Booster modules:

  • Module A: Kick‑Off
  • Module B: Key Exploitable Results (KERs) & Unique Value Proposition (UVP)
  • Module C: Exploitation Strategy

These sessions have provided valuable guidance, helping the consortium refine its approach and move closer to defining robust, market‑oriented outcomes.

The next step will be Module D: Business Plan, marking an important milestone as WILLOW advances toward delivering solid, exploitable results capable of generating real impact for the offshore wind sector.
